In contrast to conventional devices our XUV spectrometer does not 4JZHjf0M6  
require a narrow entrance aperture but rather images the harmonic source Kxl,] |e>

This configuration typically collects 15 to 25 times more light than 90qj6.SQ  
standard versions, resulting in a signal-to-noise figure improved by the f3TlJ!!U

In some experiments, this improved signal strength is the crucial step 4iv]N 4  
for realizing a measurement at all. |^PLZ>

Our instruments are based on high quality aberration-corrected l/ rZcf8z  
flat-field gratings. In contrast to conventional gratings these focus ~kYqGH  
all wavelengths onto a plane rather than a circle. This allows for x 1BOW  
positioning the entire detector in the focal plane of the grating for ft/^4QcyAM

The compact design of the spectrometer makes it inherently insensitive k%l_N)38  
against mechanical and environmental disturbances (vibrations, e$Bf[F#;-  
acoustics, etc). No externally moving parts and closed-loop grating 2>$F0 M  
actuators with absolute position monitoring add to the robustness and JEsLF{  
allow for monitoring of the grating alignment at all times. )8$:DW;  
In addition, the concept of a spectrometer without entrance slit also w*:GM8=6  
makes the instrument less sensitive to misalignment. Under typical 6)wy^a|pb  
operating conditions a misalignment of the beam in the dispersion kG$E tE#  
direction on the entrance of the spectrometer by 500um would lead to a fK'.wX9  
signal reduction by more than 20% in an instrument with entrance slit f]ue#O  
while it is less than 10% for our design. !{Q:(B#ec

The adaptability of our XUV spectrometer makes it possible to highly U=kx`j>  
custom-fit the device to requirements. Thus we offer to customize every 3^\?>C7

includes e.g. interfacing to experimental chambers, adaption of the Vd%v_Ek  
source distance, integration of customer-supplied detectors, Har~MO?A
