This configuration typically collects 15 to 25 times more light than }+bo?~2E&  
standard versions, resulting in a signal-to-noise figure improved by the Jm#p!G+

In some experiments, this improved signal strength is the crucial step J3~%9MCJ

Our instruments are based on high quality aberration-corrected MBU|<tc  
flat-field gratings. In contrast to conventional gratings these focus TET=>6

The spectrometer is very compact and can be bolted directly to a vacuum S89j:KRXH%

Through its modular design, our spectrometer can be adapted to a number 5S2 j5M00  
of configurations (source distance, spectral range, detectors, vacuum JN4gH4ez)

The compact design of the spectrometer makes it inherently insensitive M_Q`9  
against mechanical and environmental disturbances (vibrations, 71Za!3+  
acoustics, etc). No externally moving parts and closed-loop grating '|Bk}pl7  
actuators with absolute position monitoring add to the robustness and L+p}%!g  
allow for monitoring of the grating alignment at all times. gzn:]Y^  
In addition, the concept of a spectrometer without entrance slit also yg H)U.  
makes the instrument less sensitive to misalignment. Under typical `2LmLFkb  
operating conditions a misalignment of the beam in the dispersion q g=`=]j  
direction on the entrance of the spectrometer by 500um would lead to a dKCl#~LAI'  
signal reduction by more than 20% in an instrument with entrance slit ?upd
