In contrast to conventional devices our XUV spectrometer does not x,rK4L7U  
require a narrow entrance aperture but rather images the harmonic source j YVR"D;

This configuration typically collects 15 to 25 times more light than >bUxb-8  
standard versions, resulting in a signal-to-noise figure improved by the %={[e`,

In some experiments, this improved signal strength is the crucial step E/:mO~1< c

Our instruments are based on high quality aberration-corrected w40 -K5wt>  
flat-field gratings. In contrast to conventional gratings these focus Wq"5-U;:w

The compact design of the spectrometer makes it inherently insensitive `iZ){JfAH  
against mechanical and environmental disturbances (vibrations, ?qt.+2:

actuators with absolute position monitoring add to the robustness and F[5sFk M7  
allow for monitoring of the grating alignment at all times. xN +Oca  
In addition, the concept of a spectrometer without entrance slit also K*sav?c  
makes the instrument less sensitive to misalignment. Under typical O =gv2e  
operating conditions a misalignment of the beam in the dispersion < pWk   
direction on the entrance of the spectrometer by 500um would lead to a D3(rD]c0{  
signal reduction by more than 20% in an instrument with entrance slit )C&'5z
