In contrast to conventional devices our XUV spectrometer does not 7;xKy'B\  
require a narrow entrance aperture but rather images the harmonic source P<L&c_u  
directly onto the detector. Thus 80% or more of the incoming beam can be !$r9C/k

This configuration typically collects 15 to 25 times more light than an KuTI  
standard versions, resulting in a signal-to-noise figure improved by the 76cEKHa<

In some experiments, this improved signal strength is the crucial step |nm2Uy/0

- Flat-field imaging technology `M rBav  
Our instruments are based on high quality aberration-corrected XRa#2 1pQ  
flat-field gratings. In contrast to conventional gratings these focus J wFned#T  
all wavelengths onto a plane rather than a circle. This allows for ':sTd^V  
positioning the entire detector in the focal plane of the grating for $8@+j[>  
superior spectral resolution. *w 21U!

The spectrometer is very compact and can be bolted directly to a vacuum T6=-hA^A

Through its modular design, our spectrometer can be adapted to a number .K7C-Xn=  
of configurations (source distance, spectral range, detectors, vacuum )* 3bkKVB

The compact design of the spectrometer makes it inherently insensitive %~\  
against mechanical and environmental disturbances (vibrations, 5)*6V&  
acoustics, etc). No externally moving parts and closed-loop grating i;]CL[#2e`  
actuators with absolute position monitoring add to the robustness and 8m7;x/0ld  
allow for monitoring of the grating alignment at all times. % $.vOFP9  
In addition, the concept of a spectrometer without entrance slit also >)y$mc6  
makes the instrument less sensitive to misalignment. Under typical l0#4Fma  
operating conditions a misalignment of the beam in the dispersion 5Hy3\_ +  
direction on the entrance of the spectrometer by 500um would lead to a `Sx.|`x8  
signal reduction by more than 20% in an instrument with entrance slit M8_R  
while it is less than 10% for our design. zn^v!:[

The adaptability of our XUV spectrometer makes it possible to highly tQ[]Rc  
custom-fit the device to requirements. Thus we offer to customize every 2_N/wR#=&  
spectrometer to exactly match the desired research application. This #%WCL'6B  
includes e.g. interfacing to experimental chambers, adaption of the -p^'XL*Z  
source distance, integration of customer-supplied detectors, 4Pf+]R
