In contrast to conventional devices our XUV spectrometer does not ~]c^v'k  
require a narrow entrance aperture but rather images the harmonic source rv|k8  
directly onto the detector. Thus 80% or more of the incoming beam can be ^b>E_u

This configuration typically collects 15 to 25 times more light than ~LYKt0/W&  
standard versions, resulting in a signal-to-noise figure improved by the |byB7 f

In some experiments, this improved signal strength is the crucial step xH3SVn(I

- Flat-field imaging technology ecf<(Vl}  
Our instruments are based on high quality aberration-corrected JR7~|ov  
flat-field gratings. In contrast to conventional gratings these focus Yn1U@!  
all wavelengths onto a plane rather than a circle. This allows for W,AIE 6F  
positioning the entire detector in the focal plane of the grating for ,,BNUj/:

The spectrometer is very compact and can be bolted directly to a vacuum K"-N:OV  
chamber. It is capable of carrying its own weight, no table required. ,u~\$ Az6

Through its modular design, our spectrometer can be adapted to a number b'vJPv~hI  
of configurations (source distance, spectral range, detectors, vacuum 4_r8ynq{z  
pumping, etc). This makes it highly flexible for varying requirements 4Z]^v4vb

- Robust against misalignment yFJ(b%7  
The compact design of the spectrometer makes it inherently insensitive s8eiq`6\H}  
against mechanical and environmental disturbances (vibrations, u!L8Sv  
acoustics, etc). No externally moving parts and closed-loop grating 9R.tkc|K  
actuators with absolute position monitoring add to the robustness and UxzwgVT  
allow for monitoring of the grating alignment at all times. :p8JO:g9  
In addition, the concept of a spectrometer without entrance slit also <!DOCvd  
makes the instrument less sensitive to misalignment. Under typical H~Q UN  
operating conditions a misalignment of the beam in the dispersion Dq2eX;c@  
direction on the entrance of the spectrometer by 500um would lead to a TvI}yaCu/x  
signal reduction by more than 20% in an instrument with entrance slit ^D vaT9s  
while it is less than 10% for our design. >(%im :_

The adaptability of our XUV spectrometer makes it possible to highly \I'A:~b)L  
custom-fit the device to requirements. Thus we offer to customize every 5l(;+#3y/

includes e.g. interfacing to experimental chambers, adaption of the O8dDoP\F2  
source distance, integration of customer-supplied detectors, 39~fP)
