you should be able to transfer all the CAD data into ZEMAX. If you are not certain the parameters, you can load the CAD file into ZEMAX and read all the information out. Once the data are transcribed into the sequential mode (assuming it's an imaging system) then you can define your own merit function for optimization. The latest ZEMAX can allow you to optimize the system with a bridging to CAD software.
