• build up and maintain contacts with a network of optical specialists and specialists in related disciplines, in particular within Philips but also outside Philips &],O\TAul
• advise the management about optical matters/ issues and roadmapping

• Bachelor or master degree education, preferably in Physics, Optics, or Optical Engineering TVVu_ib
• capability to design optical (sub)systems for products of Philips Lighting: lenses, collimators, light-engines, reflectors, including color-dependencies therein. USJ4Z
• capability to evaluate, judge and/or re-engineer optical systems designed by others, within the relevant field ab[V->>%
• Capability to select right material for optical purpose `)NTJc$):
• Capability to judge the manufacturability of optical design and follow up with supplier to make that TA+#{q+a
• experience with optical simulation tools, in particular in the non-imaging optics area, like ASAP, LightTools, Tracepro or Zemax Non-Sequential, are preferred . |`) k
