As part of a global sourcing team you will be responsible in formulating sourcing strategies and in driving sourcing activities through commodity management and new product introduction to meet the Berlinger Glas Group objectives. X

· Evaluate and qualify new suppliers in mainland China in line with the Berliner Glas / SwissOptic commodity strategies @&nx;K6h
· Develop and lead the sourcing team to implement procurement strategies for different product categories (prism, lenses, technical glass, mechanics, etc.) in aspect of technology trend, supplier analysis, pricing and development including bench-marking w>H%[\Qs
· Maintain partnership with vendors by creating a collaborative and open relationship =)"N E>
· Build a competitive network of quality suppliers throughout mainland China and develop “Preferred Suppliers” to meet future requirements &0;{lS[N:L
· Develop strategies together with operative purchasing and QA to improve suppliers KPI performance `d G.L
· Implement a procurement controlling and a supplier risk management system >/ *?4

· Lead cross-functional teams in driving new or improvement projects to meet project costs, timeline and quality requirements =]5DYRhX]
· Support QA to resolve quality issues for new and existing items SK2J`*
· Participate in design reviews with RND and suppliers on manufacturability, raw material selection in order to achieve most optimal component cost ~p X(w!^
· Perform sourcing in line with the Berliner Glas / SwissOptic commodity strategy to meet project targets ( hRgYwUa<

· Expertise in international standards (ISO / MIL) to build a common understanding with the suppliers on quality level } kh/mq
· Closely monitoring of production progress of new products at supplier site to promptly identify difficulties, defects and delays and find solutions with the supplier or get support within the Berliner Glas Group (Fbm9(q$d
· Maintenance of quality level by regular supplier visits and on-site training if necessary D7gX,e

· Proven track record of managing a team of engineers 1 o
